While Donald Trump is certainly to blame for much of the difference in opinions between those who currently identify as Democrat or Republican, those still supporting Trump would never have been so accepting of him or his policies if not for hearing years of lies and propaganda repeated daily by Fox News. With so few hosts on Fox still refusing to completely capitulate to Trump, the channel resembles State Run Media more every day. Tucker Carlson, Lou Dobbs, Jeanine Pirro, and others of that ilk have become nothing more than a propaganda machine to push Trump’s conspiracy theories. None are more overtly readying the viewers for Trump’s attempted firing of Special Counsel Robert Mueller than Sean Hannity.

As Palmer Report has documented, Hannity has more to lose than the rest once Trump is removed from power and made to face justice for his treason against America. Hannity appears to fear he was picked up on the Paul Manafort wiretap, and it’s long been widely reported he engages in late night phone calls with Trump in order to discuss which conspiracy theories to share with gullible viewers.

Hannity’s unhinged and desperate behavior only worsened when it became known that Michael Cohen, Trump’s longtime lawyer and fixer, was cooperating with Mueller. While we still are not sure exactly what Cohen did for Hannity, Cohen was forced to admit in court that he represents Hannity. Given Cohen’s proclivity to secretly record interactions with his clients, it is safe to assume Hannity’s recent escalation of anxiety is warranted.

While Hannity consistently repeats his same talking points and conspiracy theories verbatim every show, he has recently added a new catch phrase, further showing his fear of Republicans losing control of the House in the midterms. He now opens every show reminding viewers how many days until “the most important election of your lives.” He even began his radio show last week with “investigation, investigation, investigation, impeachment. That’s what’s going to happen if Democrats take back the House.”

It is not just that Hannity begins his shows openly showing his fear of the coming election, he repeats it half a dozen times throughout the show. He uses fear mongering tactics including the claim that Democrats will undo everything Trump has done – ignoring that this would actually be a good thing for his viewers and most of the country – and he overlooks the fact that Republicans may still hold the Senate and Trump always possesses veto power. It is clear that Hannity’s warnings are less about offering advice to his audience, and more about constantly attempting to convince them to save him from his imminent time in the barrel.
