Use “Giving Tuesday” to show your Resistance against Donald Trump and his goons

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Today is #GivingTuesday. It’s a time for charities to get some much needed donations as people look at their end of year giving. There are a lot of good causes out there that need your money. Check with your place of employment to see if they do any matching. Facebook is also matching today if the donation is made through the Facebook page.

Here are some suggestions of good liberal causes and a way to show your resistance at the same time:

Give to the Clinton Foundation in Donald Trump’s name. Thank you cards can be sent to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Give to Planned Parenthood in Ted Cruz’s name (thank you notes can be sent to his office in DC).

Give to the NAACP in Jeff Sessions’ name (have the thank you cards sent to him c/o the DOJ).

Give to the Human Rights Campaign in VP Mike Pence’s name (have the thank you cards sent to One Observatory Circle in DC)

Give to the Southern Poverty Law Center in David Duke’s name.

Give to the ASPCA in Sen Joni Ernst’s name (or any hunter you know).

Give to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence in Wayne LaPierre’s name (send thank you notes to NRA headquarters).

Give to the ACLU in the name of any republican you know (your neighbor with the Trump/Pence sign for instance).

Find a local charity, food bank, homeless shelter and donate in your own name. Start a canned food drive at work or get a blood drive going with your local blood bank or the American Red Cross.

If you can’t donate today, your money is good any time with these (and any charity). Keep them in mind when you’re making your budget for next year. If you can’t donate money, donate your time: take your kids with your or get a group of friends together. There is so much you can do – so do it. #Give #Fight #Resist
