Two Russian officials have admitted to colluding with Donald Trump campaign

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Even as Donald Trump continues to insist that he’s had no dealings with Russia, and that he’s not aware of anyone on his campaign staff having colluded with the Russian government, his own National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has resigned after having been exposed for colluding with the Russian Ambassador. Even worse, the Russian Ambassador himself has admitted that his conversations with Flynn took place. And he’s not the only Russian official to admit to colluding with Trump’s people.

Flynn was forced out after he was caught on an NSA wiretap having colluded with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Even after Flynn resigned, Trump is still publicly insisting that to his knowledge, Flynn did not collude with the Russians. The truly absurd part: this Washington Post article says the following: “Kislyak confirmed that he had communicated with Flynn by text message, by phone and in person.” It gets even worse.

Real News. Fake President.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov admitted back in November that “There were contacts” between his government and Donald Trump’s campaign advisors during the election, according to this New York Times article. So why is Trump continuing to deny what even Russia is openly admitting has transpired?

Trump is a Russian spy

One theory is that Donald Trump, who lies so frequently and so bizarrely that he may fit the clinical definition of a pathological liar, simply isn’t capable of speaking the truth, even when there’s no point in lying. Another theory is that Trump knows by now that he and his administration are going down over the Russia scandal, but he’s so deeply in denial that he can’t admit it to himself.

Or perhaps Trump simply knows that his adoring base will continue to believe any lie he serves up, no matter thoroughly disproven, and no matter how bad the constant lies make him look in the eyes of the majority who now oppose him. Contribute to Palmer Report
