Report: Donald Trump’s remaining advisers have “snapped”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It turns out Stephen Miller isn’t the only one of Donald Trump’s remaining advisers who are melting down this week. He appeared on CNN and turned in one of the most deranged political interviews of all time, only to be prematurely booted from the air, and then booted from the building. Now comes inside word that Trump’s advisers are all going off the deep end in the wake of the release of Michael Wolff’s damning new book.

Here’s how Olivia Nuzzi of New York Magazine is summing it up: “I’ve never heard White House staffers as belligerently angry as they are over Michael Wolff’s book. It seems to have provoked a collective snap in the West Wing.”

She’s not the only insider who’s saying such things. It’s not difficult to see why this is happening. Wolff’s book consists largely of quotes from Trump’s own current and former advisers, many of whom said negative and humiliating things about Trump, which have served to paint him as stupid and mentally incompetent.

Trump has repeatedly lashed out at the book in public, which has only caused it to become more popular. Now Trump’s remaining advisers are left dealing with the fallout. They have to babysit a rapidly declining Trump, while also trying to fend off his worsening Russia scandal. Who’s running the White House at this point? With Trump mentally incompetent, and his advisers having snapped, that’s not at all clear.
