Donald Trump shoves another NATO leader aside to get in front of him for photo op

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump met with NATO leaders today in Belgium, and although he appeared to have been doing it in a facetious manner, he ended up physically shoving the leader of a United States ally to the side so he could get in front of him during a group photo op – then Trump began preening after he was front and center within the group.

The surreal moment was captured on video and pointed out by Steve Kopack of CNBC, after Donald Trump came up from behind and shoved Montenegro Prime Minister Milo Đukanović to the side. The moment was particularly surreal, as Montenegro is a newly admitted member of NATO.

Here’s how Kopeck documented the moment on Twitter:

Fortunately the Prime Minister was seen smiling after he got over his momentary shock at being shoved out of the way. But if he was offended by the matter, it’s not as if he was in a position to publicly express that he thought the President of the United States – his key ally – had acted inappropriately. This incident will lead to further questions as to whether Donald Trump understands the seriousness of international diplomacy and the job he’s supposed to be doing.
