Donald Trump retweets supporter who posted imagery of dead American reporters

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump has somehow done it again. He’s reached into his grab bag of followers in Twitter in order to retweet a complimentary message from one of them – and sure enough – it turns out that individual has recently tweeted horribly offensive garbage. It’s enough to ask why. This time around Trump tweeted “Thanks for your support” while quoting someone who had tweeted “TRUMP 2020…landslide coming” along with a fake license plate reading “TRUMP.” But then came the timeline.

Just hours earlier, that same Twitter user (@thebradfordfile) had retweeted this offensive image of American reporters dead in a coffin, which mirrors and expands upon Trump’s own recent tweets demanding that American reporters be investigated by the Senate Intelligence Committee:

This pattern happens jarringly often when it comes to Donald Trump and the supporters he chooses to highlight on Twitter. He’ll retweet a fairly innocuous tweet which nearly always ends up coming from someone who had just finished posting a terribly offensive tweet minutes or hours earlier. Trump has done this with racists, Nazis, and those calling for the murder of Americans.

Remarkably, the above individual just happens to be launching a new website tomorrow (we refuse to mention its name here), whose content is unknown, but whose premise will likely be offensive pro-Trump propaganda along the lines of the reporter in the coffin. Was this Trump’s way of boosting that site? He wouldn’t even know how to figure out such a thing. Is one of his advisers whispering this crap in his ear, telling him whom to retweet at any given time?

It’s enough to raise the question of whether Trump is choosing these supporters at random and they all happen to have offensive garbage in their timeline, or if he’s purposely giving attention to users who have recently tweeted something that he knows he can’t get away with retweeting directly.
