Donald Trump is back on Twitter and he’s ranting like an idiot

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

For reasons known only to him, and perhaps relating to his infamous word-slurring incident, Donald Trump essentially took the week off from Twitter. After an unhinged rant on Monday morning, Trump didn’t tweet anything of his own all week, and the only posts on his account were announcements from his staff. But now Trump is back on Twitter, and true to form, he’s ranting like an idiot.

It all began last night after Trump’s buffoonish rally in Pensacola, when he tweeted this indecipherable nonsense: “This is your land, this is your home, and it’s your voice that matters the most. So speak up, be heard, and fight, fight, fight for the change you’ve been waiting for your entire life!” What did this tweet even mean? No one is sure, but he did end it by yelling “MERRY CHRISTMAS” in caps for no apparent reason. Then things got even stupider.

This morning Trump posted his first early-morning Twitter screed in several days. He began by defending a child molester: “A big contingent of very enthusiastic Roy Moore fans at the rally last night. We can’t have a Pelosi/Schumer Liberal Democrat, Jones, in that important Alabama Senate seat. Need your vote to Make America Great Again! Jones will always vote against what we must do for our Country.” Then he launched into a completely misleading attack on CNN.

After CNN revised a date in one of its articles, Donald Trump seized it as an excuse to launch a blithering tirade: “Fake News CNN made a vicious and purposeful mistake yesterday. They were caught red handed, just like lonely Brian Ross at ABC News (who should be immediately fired for his “mistake”). Watch to see if @CNN fires those responsible, or was it just gross incompetence? CNN’S slogan is CNN, THE MOST TRUSTED NAME IN NEWS. Everyone knows this is not true, that this could, in fact, be a fraud on the American Public. There are many outlets that are far more trusted than Fake News CNN. Their slogan should be CNN, THE LEAST TRUSTED NAME IN NEWS!” Trump is back, and he’s tweeting like an idiot.
