For his Donald Trump probe, Robert Mueller hires attorney who jails terrorists

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When it comes to Donald Trump’s Russia scandal, what does Special Counsel Robert Mueller know that we don’t? Plenty. And the success of his investigation relies on not leaking crucial parts of his ongoing strategy and targets. But that still leaves us one solid method for mapping out which legal directions Mueller is taking: whom he hires for his team and what their specialities are. His latest hire should scare the crap out of Trump and everyone associated with him.

We’ve already seen Robert Mueller hire attorneys with specialties in everything from money laundering to witness flipping to one who speaks Russian fluently, which provides some idea of the directions he plans to take his investigation. But now Mueller has made a startling new hire that sets the imagination afire: Zainab Ahmad.

Here’s what we know about Ahmad. Her primary speciality is putting terrorists on trial, and she’s never once lost a case (link). So what terrorists are being targeted in Donald Trump’s Russia scandal? Are the Russian hackers who rigged the election for Trump being pursued as terrorists? Or does Mueller have evidence that Trump’s own campaign members, some of whom are confirmed to have been on the payroll of the Russian government, conspired to commit acts of cyberterrorism? This opens up all kinds of possibilities for where this is headed, and just how ugly it’s going to get for Trump and his co-conspirators.

Zainab Ahmad’s secondary specialty is taking down international organized crime rings (link). This fits in with the ongoing investigation into Donald Trump’s financial connections to the mob, which have spread everywhere from New York City to Atlantic City and appear to have involved the Russian mafia. Keep in mind the point of going after Trump’s underlings or associates is to get them to flip on Trump himself, thus leaving no question of his guilt.
