Obama Foundation acknowledges every presidential charity except Trump Foundation

We've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

Barack and Michelle Obama did more today than merely move on from their respective roles as President and First Lady. They launched the Obama Foundation, a charitable organization which will serve at the core of their post White House mission. The group is off to a strong start, having gained more than a hundred thousand followers on Twitter in its first half day of promotion. And the Obama Foundation may have managed to get in a dig at the illegitimacy of Donald Trump and his Foundation in the process.

The official verified Twitter account for the Obama Foundation is currently following a total of eighty-three people on Twitter, most of them public or political figures. But in particular it follows a number of presidential charitable foundations. The Obama Foundation has acknowledged the Clinton Foundation, the Bush Foundation, the Reagan Foundation, the Carter Center, the Nixon Foundation, the LBJ Foundation, the JFK Library, the Eisenhower Library, the Truman Library, and the FDR Library. The only presidential nonprofit missing: the Donald J. Trump Foundation.

It’s not a total snub, however. The Obama Foundation does follow Melania Trump on Twitter. In fairness, the Trump Foundation is currently in the process of being shut down amid an investigation by the Attorney General of New York due to being a fake charity and complete fraud. So perhaps it wasn’t so much that the Obama Foundation wanted to snub the Trump Foundation, but that it didn’t want to be associated with a criminal entity.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
