Special Counsel Robert Mueller is officially investigating Jared Kushner’s finances in relation to Russia

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. One day after confirmation surfaced that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is investigating Donald Trump for obstruction of justice, and hours after word surfaced that Mueller is investigating Trump’s associates for money laundering, now comes the news that Mueller is also investigating Trump’s son-in-law. The Special Counsel is probing Jared Kushner’s finances in relation to Russia.

Kushner’s two transition period secret meetings with the Russians have put him under Mueller’s microscope, according to a new Washington Post report (link). The first meeting was with the Russian Ambassador, and saw Kushner trying to set up a secret communications channel with the Russians. The second meeting was with the head of a Russian bank, and that’s the part that has him under investigation.

Jared Kushner’s primary financial asset is an office building on Fifth Avenue that’s massively in debt, in desperate need of being bailed out by outside investors. Kushner was actively seeking such investors at the time he met with the Russian bank, suggesting he may have been seeking loans in exchange for allowing the Russian government to have influence over the U.S. government. The bank in question is sanctioned, and it’s a crime for U.S. citizens to seek loans from it. If this suspicion can be proven true, Kushner could be looking at a prison sentence unless he’s willing to flip on Donald Trump in exchange for leniency.

Meanwhile, Special Counsel Robert Mueller is also investigating everyone from Paul Manafort to Michael Flynn to Carter Page when it comes to their alleged financial ties to Russia, and how those ties may have connected to their roles as Donald Trump campaign advisers. And while there has not yet been any confirmation that Mike Pence is under investigation, he lawyered up today by hiring his own outside attorney. So who will be the first to crack and cut a deal to flip on Trump? If you’re a regular reader, feel free to support Palmer Report
