Anthony Scaramucci tries to make himself a thing again, but Monica Lewinsky shuts him down

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Less than two weeks after he was fired from Donald Trump’s White House, Anthony Scaramucci is already looking to make a comeback โ€“ but he’s taking a rather controversial approach. Just as his upcoming interview with Stephen Colbert was being announced, Scaramucci began attacking the reporter who published his profane conversation โ€“ and compared the reporter to Linda Tripp of all people. That led Monica Lewinsky of all people to chime in and shut him down.

Scaramucci tweeted that “Ryan Lizza [of the New Yorker] is the Linda Tripp of 2017. People know. And he is up at night not being able to live with himself” (link):

When asked if he was accusing Lizza of taping their phone call without his permission, Scaramucci replied “Yes. He absolutely taped the call without my permission,” tacking on the hashtag “lowlife.” Even as others chimed in to debate how state law applied to the particular recorded phone call in question, Monica Lewinsky stepped in to shut him down with the only response possible (link):

But things still weren’t finished playing out. After Stephen Colbert made his announcement, Ryan Lizza chimed in, simply saying “Oh boy”:

Oh, and Anthony Scaramucci made this announcement (link):

That’s right, Scaramucci is planning to bring a knife to his interview with Colbert.
