Donald Trump has spent the past two days escalating his long running feud with the hosts of MSNBC’s Morning Joe by launching a series of vicious personal attacks on Mika Brzezinski, and by extension on Joe Scarborough. But not only have those attacks backfired in the court of public opinion, it turns out Mika knows how to fight back in just as personal of a fashion – and now she’s going after his marriage.

Trump reignited the Morning Joe feud on Thursday morning with an utterly bizarre and vulgar tweet: “I heard poorly rated Morning Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!” Suffice it to say that the tweet was received poorly. But now Mika is striking in deeply cutting fashion.

Mika has conducted a lengthy new interview with InStyle Magazine (link) in response to Donald Trump’s attacks. She points out that she knows Melania Trump personally, and that while she hasn’t spoken with her about the matter, “If my gut is right, I don’t think she’s going to put up with it much longer.” She goes on to add that “Melania’s got the worst job in the country and I don’t think she wants to do it a lot longer.”

Now that Donald Trump is trying to screw with the impending marriage between Morning Joe and Mika, it appears Mika is ready to screw with his marriage as well. This kind of tabloid level feud with a cable news host can only serve to further erode Trump’s already historically weak and sinking level of public support. But after being widely criticized for hitting the new low, Trump continued digging a hole on Friday morning: “Watched low rated Morning Joe for first time in long time. FAKE NEWS. He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show.” At this rate he might tweet himself out of his job and his marriage.
