John Kelly fired Omarosa during a fight at Donald Trump’s White House Christmas party

Donald Trump’s White House senior adviser Omarosa was fired yesterday, which was an absurd story to begin with, because it was ridiculous that the former Apprentice contestant was ever working in the White House in the first place. The story has since become even more embarrassing, as media reports say she tried to storm the White House residence after being fired, and had to be physically dragged off the property. Now the story has found a way to become even more Trump-ian in nature.

It was Chief of Staff John Kelly who fired Omarosa. He wouldn’t have done so unless he already had approval from Trump himself. But now we’re learning that Kelly decided to pull the trigger during a fight that he and Omarosa were having during the White House Christmas party. Here’s how MSNBC host Joy Reid characterized the incident: “Source says the Omarosa dustup happened during the White House Christmas party, and that it may have started with a back and forth between her and John Kelly, who then said ‘you’re fired.’ The attempt to go to the residence was about saying ‘hell no you can’t.’ But he did.”

It’s still unclear what Kelly and Omarosa were fighting about during the Christmas party, but now the story has gotten so ridiculous that it involves General John Kelly literally yelling “You’re fired” at an Apprentice contestant during a party. As we pointed out last night, this story still doesn’t add up. The White House itself told the Wall Street Journal that Omarosa was physically dragged off the property. However, this prompted the Secret Service to tweet that it did no such thing.

We still suspect that Omarosa was planning to resign her White House job anyway, and that she and Trump conspired to turn this into a major dust-up because he needed a distraction from his failure in Alabama, and she wanted the publicity so she could direct it toward her next project. If that’s the case, it means Omarosa went so far as picking a fight with John Kelly during the White House Christmas party just so he would fire her and she could try to storm the castle. It’s still unclear who, if anyone, dragged Omarosa out of the building.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
