Joe Biden, Eric Holder and Preet Bharara all lash out at Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

With Donald Trump going further off the rails by the day and trying to drag America down with him, the pushback against him has grown more fierce accordingly. This weekend in particular seems to have been a breaking point. Over the past twenty-four hours former Vice President Joe Biden, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara have all lashed out of Trump over his outrageous antics.

First came Preet Bharara. Late last night, the news broke that Trump had leaned on his own Attorney General Jeff Sessions months ago to try to get him to drop the federal investigation into former Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Word also surfaced that Trump had ultimately decided to pardon Arpaio based on the urging of InfoWars fringe lunatic Alex Jones. That led Bharara to sarcastically tweet “Bypass your Justice Department. Take direction from the man who says Sandy Hook was a hoax. Pardon racist abuser of power. Very honorable” (link). But that was just the beginning.

Then Joe Biden published a lengthy takedown of Donald Trump on a number of issues. Biden’s upshot: “We are living through a battle for the soul of this nation” (link). This is notable in that it’s historically rare for a former President or Vice President to openly condemn the actions of a current administration. But Dick Cheney changed that by attacking President Obama, and that’s opened the door for Joe Biden to go after Donald Trump. Then there was more.

Eric Holder circled back to Trump’s attempt at interfering with the investigation into Joe Arpaio. He tweeted this: “Number of times over six years that President Obama called and asked me to think about dropping a case: ZERO” (link). At this point the floodgates are open when it comes to top former government figures openly condemning Trump, and they’re unlikely to close.
