Last week the news surfaced Dr. Rick Bright was filing a whistleblower complaint against the Trump regime, because he was removed from his position after he privately sounded the alarm about Donald Trump’s favorite phony miracle cure hydroxychloroquine. Now it’s official – and Bright is set to testify during an upcoming congressional hearing.

Dr. Bright is now set to testify before a House subcommittee next Thursday May 14th, according to a CNN report. Shortly after this news surfaced, Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared on Ari Melber’s MSNBC show and confirmed that Bright will in fact be testifying next week – and she said it will be “very damaging” testimony.

This testimony is not yet on the official schedule on the House website, so we don’t have confirmation as to whether it will take place in public or private. But for the most part, House testimony only takes place in private if it involves national security secrets, or if multiple witnesses are being privately screened to see if their testimony matches up. In this case, Dr. Bright is a credible expert witness, and we’re expecting he’ll likely testify in public.

The Trump regime may or may not make moves to try to block Dr. Bright from testifying, but they don’t appear to have any method of blocking Bright that would actually work. In general, whenever the Trump regime has tried to block people from testifying before Congress, it’s only succeeded when those people didn’t want to testify to begin with. In this instance, Bright clearly wants to testify.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
