Michael Flynn’s attorneys reveal he’s negotiating a deal with Robert Mueller against Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Last night after Donald Trump’s attorneys revealed that Michael Flynn would be excluded from the fund that Trump was setting up to help cover the legal costs of his advisers, Palmer Report pointed out that Trump was handing Flynn every reason to cut a deal against him. Sure enough, Flynn’s attorneys made a definitive move today which reveals that Flynn is negotiating such a deal with Robert Mueller as we speak.

Flynn’s attorneys have now formally informed Trump’s attorneys that they can no longer discuss the Trump-Russia scandal, according to a New York Times report (link). In legal terms, there is only one possible reason for this: Flynn has begun negotiating a plea deal, meaning that it would be a conflict of interest for any such communication to continue. Not only does this mean that Flynn is cutting a deal, it means he’s far enough along that there’s no turning back. So now what?

If Michael Flynn does indeed cut a deal, it will give Robert Mueller a treasure trove of evidence and testimony that he can use to go after several other key Trump-Russia players. That list will include Donald Trump himself, as well as probably Vice President Mike Pence. Flynn’s testimony will also give Mueller valuable details on what was really going on inside the Trump White House during its chaotic first month, which saw Trump fire Acting Attorney General Sally Yates in an apparent attempt at protecting Flynn.

It’s widely believed that Michael Flynn’s primary motivation for cutting a deal is to keep his son Michael Flynn Jr out of prison. Based on the timing, it appears Flynn finally caved after Robert Mueller began pursuing him for his role in an alleged kidnapping and bribery plot involving the government of Turkey and Flynn Intel Group, where his son also worked.
