Donald Trump began his week on an ambitious note. Late on Monday, Christmas Day, he tweeted “I hope everyone is having a great Christmas, then tomorrow it’s back to work in order to Make America Great Again (which is happening faster than anyone anticipated)!” He then spent the next four days golfing instead of doing any work, which in hindsight was a sign of just how stupidly the entire week was going to end up going for him. Sure enough, he ended up falling flat on his face.

The next day, instead of doing the job to which he was illegitimately elected, Trump began attacking everyone from Hillary Clinton to the FBI. By Wednesday he was tweeting, and then deleting, fake numbers about how he had wiped out ISIS. Hours later, ISIS proved him wrong by launching a deadly attack in Kabul. Trump then spent Thursday trying to attack Vanity Fair, because he’s a small minded buffoon, and instead ended up accidentally attacking Vogue, because he’s just that senile. Then he blamed China for something that Russia did. But this was all just a warm up act.

By Thursday afternoon, Trump was randomly congratulating a football team in Iowa. Then he falsely claimed his approval rating was at 46%, when it’s in fact in the mid to low thirties. By Thursday night he was claiming that climate change can’t be real because it’s cold right now in the eastern part of the country. Then he gave an interview to the New York Times in which he used the word “collusion” twenty-three times, because at this point all he can talk about is his Russia scandal. But by the time the week ended on Friday, Trump had managed to come up with his dumbest moment of all.

Donald Trump capped off his joke of a week by tweeting “While the Fake News loves to talk about my so-called low approval rating, Fox And Friends just showed that my rating on Dec. 28, 2017, was approximately the same as President Obama on Dec. 28, 2009, which was 47%…and this despite massive negative Trump coverage & Russia hoax!” In so doing, he unwittingly reminded everyone about his Russia scandal yet again. Trump is falling flat on his face, and he’s falling apart.
