Donald Trump’s ghostwriter says Trump will let his kids rot in prison
Few people have been as up close and personal with Donald Trump’s broken mind as his former ghostwriter Tony Schwartz, who had to climb deep inside Trump’s fractured psyche in order to write Art Of The Deal for him. In the years since, Schwartz has become a leading voice against Trump, revealing what he’s learned about him along the way. Now he’s making a startling prediction when it comes to the fate of Trump and his children.
Tony Schwartz gave a speech at the University of Michigan this weekend, which was documented on Twitter by Beth Fertig of WNYC and then relayed by Raw Story (link). Here’s the relevant part about Trump: “‘Empathy, generosity, reflectiveness’ among traits Trump never developed … Trump’s need for attention is like ‘an addiction’ … He moves to grandiosity to protect himself from the awful feelings he has.” Then the subject turned to Trump’s kids.
“For Trump’s kids, ‘it’s Stockholm Syndrome’ … Trump would let his kids go to prison to protect himself.” And there it is. Donald Trump’s own former ghostwriter is predicting that Donald Trump will let his own kids rot in prison if it comes down to it. This provides insight into the much debated scenario about whether or not Trump will ultimately try pardoning his kids once they’re inevitably indicted and convicted for their supporting roles in Trump’s own Russian collusion and overall financial scandals, which could backfire on him legally if he attempts it.
Donald Trump Jr has admitted he met with Russian government representatives during the election to try to obtain dirt on Hillary Clinton. Ivanka Trump has her fingerprints all over Trump’s shady financial deals with convicted Russian mafia money laundering figure Felix Sater. Eric Trump’s role is less clear. What is clear is that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is pursuing all of the above to try to get them to flip on their father, and Mueller will imprison them if necessary.
