Donald Trump’s ghostwriter says his crimes are “far beyond anything anyone currently imagines”
There are few people who are more intimately familiar with Donald Trump’s broken psyche, and his dodgy past, than Tony Schwartz – the guy who ghostwrote Trump’s book Art Of The Deal. In the years since that book arrived, Schwartz has come to regret having written it, and he’s consistently spoken out about the real Trump he got to know behind the scenes. Now Schwartz is making a rather bold prediction about what comes next.
Yesterday, word came that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had found yet another way to push one of Donald Trump’s underlings to flip on him, this time targeting former National Security Adviser Michael T. Flynn and his son Michael G. Flynn for the international crimes they allegedly jointly committed. That latest news, along with Mueller’s decision to question six of Trump’s advisers in relation to Donald Trump Jr’s meeting with Russia, seemed to send Trump over the edge.
This led Tony Schwartz to opine that “Trump is raging about Mueller because Trump knows what he did.” Then he added “It is far beyond anything anyone currently imagines” (link). As if to underline the fact that it’s just a matter of time before everything from Trump’s deep dark past is revealed, Schwartz added “Tick tock.” Trump has shown that he lacks the stones to try to unilaterally fire Mueller, and Congress has demonstrated that it’s not planning to allow Trump to get away with firing Mueller even if he did try – meaning that it’ll all come out in the wash.
After Donald Trump appeared to flip flop on immigration by supporting a Democratic plan to turn DACA permanently into law, Tony Schwartz delved deeper into Trump’s psyche: “Alt right finally learns: In his desperate hunger for love, Trump will betray anyone, anytime. He has no considered beliefs. None. Any deal Trump makes sits on quicksand. Here today, gone tomorrow. That’s what he means by ‘art of the deal.’ Truly.”
