Donald Trump shovels another load of bullshit
Donald Trump is a con man, and if you don’t understand that by now, I suggest you seek a therapist. Seriously, he gaslights everyone he speaks to, including himself. The con man is a magician and his “magic” comes from smoke and mirrors. Distractions and illusions meant to shift your awareness away from actual facts. Trump’s 2019 State of the Union delivered on what it promised, which is a lot of bullshit.
What does a magician do to distract you from what the other hand is doing? He puts on a show, and that is what Trump did in this SOTU. He presented us with many heartwarming stories, and truly these people are inspiring. However, at times it felt borderline exploitative. I doubt that would have been the impression, if Trump weren’t so obviously devoid of empathy in his everyday life.
Not only was Trump pulling on our heart strings to elicit our warm and fuzzy feelings, he was also lulling us to sleep with the slurring of his words. He came off like someone who was drowsy because he was on heavy medication. Instead of evoking a sense of confidence in our leadership, it had rather the opposite result. Not only is the lack of medical information on Trump concerning, we both know there is little oversight when it comes to getting the true results of his medical exams.
Trump has brought back Dr. Ronny Jackson to be his personal physician, a man who has lied in the past about the state of Trump’s health. He also parroted a racist comment that Trump instructed him to add into his report, which was that he had excellent genes. I mean, it shouldn’t be this difficult for us to find out if the man’s psychiatric and physical condition is in danger.
Under this cloak of secrecy that Trump has enshrouded himself in, we just can’t tell what is true or not. The only thing that is clear regarding Trump is that you can’t believe anything he says without fact checking it first, because it is likely a lie. Trump’s goal is to deceive you, while he does what he pleases behind the scenes. Tonight, his speech reflected that narcissistic view, making it difficult to know what to believe.
