Donald Trump’s staff worries about his “fits of rage” and collapsing health

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

During Donald Trump’s first overseas trip months ago, Palmer Report documented a number of instances in which Trump’s health appeared to be in freefall. He canceled several meetings. He seemed winded during a speech. He was seen being hauled a relatively short distance in a golf cart as other foreign leaders all walked. Now Trump’s own staffers are acknowledging that they’re concerned about his collapsing health – and his “fits of rage.”

That’s the word from a report out of the Washington Post (link), which cites White House staffers as being worried “about his health, noting that he appears to have gained weight in recent months and that the darkness around his eyes reveals his stress.” And then there’s this reveal: “Some in the White House fret over what they view as the president’s fits of rage, and Trump’s longtime friends say his mood has been more sour than at any point since they have known him.”

In other words, you’re not just imagining it. This dovetails with a recent report that Trump has been telling his associates he wants to resign, but he’s worried how history will judge him if he joins Richard Nixon in being the only ones to have quit the office (link). It also means Pope Francis wasn’t exaggerating weeks ago when he made a joke to Melania Trump about her husband’s rapid weight gain, which is a legitimate health concern considering Donald Trump’s age and overall health questions.

There is also the open question of whether Donald Trump is getting adequate health care while on the job. By virtue of occupying the office of President of the United States, he has access to some of the best doctors in the world. But is he even utilizing them? Prior to taking office, he spent decades relying on a quack specialist as his primary doctor. In any case, how much longer will staffers stick it out amid Trump’s fits of rage?
