James Comey and Mike Rogers both set to drop testimony bombshells this week on Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Although the leaks coming out of the White House on the matter have been so conflicting as to suggest that no one in the White House is sure of what’s really going on, it now appears that Donald Trump won’t waste his time trying to prevent former FBI Director James Comey from publicly testifying this week. And he may not be the only who delivers a bombshell during testimony this week.

Comey is scheduled to testify in public before the Senate Intelligence Committee this Thursday, June 8th. It’s not known precisely what he’ll say. But considering what’s already leaked out, look for him to confirm that Donald Trump asked him to make the Russia investigation into Michael Flynn go away. This will be a bombshell, in the same that it was a bombshell when Comey testified this spring that the FBI is actively investigating the Donald Trump campaign and Russia; even though it was already widely suspected and essentially known, the confirmation changed the entire parameters of how the scandal was viewed. But Comey may get beaten to the punch.

NSA Director Mike Rogers is set to testify before the same committee on Wednesday, June 7th. This comes after word leaked to the media two weeks ago that Donald Trump had tried to convince Rogers to publicly push back against James Comey (link). Rogers refused, and the NSA documented the incident in a memo. Now at least one pundit thinks Rogers “may have a bomb to drop” during his testimony (link), though he hasn’t specified what it is.

Still, this means that James Comey and Mike Rogers are in position to deliver a one-two punch to Donald Trump this week at a time when his Russia scandal continues to close in on him. Follow Palmer Report on Facebook and Twitter. If you’re a regular reader, feel free to support Palmer Report
