After his climate announcement flops, Donald Trump throws Twitter tantrum – and gets roasted for it

When Donald Trump announced his decision today to pull out of the Paris Climate Accord, he received a rousing round of applause from the handful of carefully chosen sycophants seated in the White House Rose Garden. But when it came to the public, governors and mayors, the media, and world leaders, the response was primarily negative. Once that sunk in, Trump threw a tantrum on Twitter – but that didn’t end well for him either.

Five hours after his climate announcement, by which time it had to have become clear even to him that it was a backfiring flop that had only served to damage his already porcelain-fragile presidency, Donald Trump decided to fire back at his critics in the only way he knows how. His all-caps Twitter tantrum was brief, predictable, and meaningless:

But it handed Trump’s detractors an opportunity to kick him while he was down. Holly O’Reilly fired back with this retort, which is remarkable when you consider that Trump had just blocked her account a few days earlier, and she’s already figured out how to get around it:
