After Michael Flynn sells him out, Donald Trump goes berserk about Hillary Clinton
If you’ve been waiting to see how Donald Trump would deal with the fact that Michael Flynn has sold him out and assured the demise of his presidency, we’re starting to see that answer. Despite scattered media reports that Trump is privately fuming about Flynn having crushed him, he can’t yet bring himself to admit it in public. Instead, Trump is tweeting about Flynn in weird fashion, while going utterly berserk about Hillary Clinton in the same deranged Twitter rant.
First, Trump tried minimizing the damage by tweeting this: “I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!” After it was widely pointed out that he accidentally confessed to felony obstruction of justice by admitting he knew Flynn had committed a crime when he tried to get him off the hook, Trump then falsely claimed that his attorney wrote this tweet. Then came the Saturday night Twitter massacre.
Well after dark on Saturday night, Trump fired off this surreal tweet: “So General Flynn lies to the FBI and his life is destroyed, while Crooked Hillary Clinton, on that now famous FBI holiday ‘interrogation’ with no swearing in and no recording, lies many times…and nothing happens to her? Rigged system, or just a double standard?” So we’re supposed to believe that Trump’s attorney was writing this tweet as well, in the middle of the night?
Then Donald Trump tweeted this: “Many people in our Country are asking what the ‘Justice’ Department is going to do about the fact that totally Crooked Hillary, AFTER receiving a subpoena from the United States Congress, deleted and ‘acid washed’ 33,000 Emails? No justice!” So now he’s spreading deranged lies about his former election opponent, while attacking his own Department of Justice for failing to prosecute her for these imaginary crimes. Trump doesn’t even know who his enemy is anymore. At this point Trump’s biggest enemy is himself.
