The Robert Mueller – Donald Trump showdown is upon us

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As we enter spring, with Easter coming and a baseball season to play out before the next elections, it has become increasingly apparent that a showdown is about to happen between Robert Mueller and Donald Trump. Trump is tweeting away like a bird that just had its wings clipped, and Mueller is like former New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, patiently waiting in the bullpen, studying the opposing hitters and gathering data to close out his opponents in the ninth inning.

Setting that scene aside a moment, let’s look ahead to November of 2018, when the World Series will be over and a new champion will emerge. It will be a time for Americans to get serious, because whatever happens over the next few months, the voters will have the task of electing a new Congress. Hopefully we will not be dealing with compromised voting machines and compromised voting districts, as we did in 2016. But we will be dealing with Vladimir Putin and Russia’s media mind-screwing campaign until then, to try to sway the most gullible Americans toward the candidates the Kremlin wants in office. I believe that at least 65% of Americans will scrutinize the candidates in 2018 with extreme due diligence to set America back on the right path, and we will need every one of that 65% to VOTE!

Sooner or later, between now and November there will be a showdown between Mueller and Trump. Mueller has recently sent questions to Trump that he wants answered pertaining to the Trump-Russia probe. This prompted an off the rails, incoherent, tweet storm by the twit-in-chief. Trump is losing it. He is swinging at pitches in the dirt and then directing his anger at everyone in his dugout, as Mueller salivates while watching his frustration build. I guess questions about conspiracy, obstruction and money laundering were not to Trump’s liking.

Mueller is ready for the ninth inning showdown. He has flipped many of Donald Trump’s teammates: Flynn, Gates, Papadopoulos, and possibly also Sessions, who recently may have been stealing Trump’s signals. Mueller has indictments ready to be processed. There is no doubt in my mind Mueller wins this showdown. Mueller is the master of striking out the big bats and sending them to the prison showers, like he did John Gotti in the summer of 1992. — Frank V.
