Unpatriotic racist Mike Pence wastes taxpayer money just to stage stupid protest at NFL football game
Mike Pence has latched onto Donald Trump’s racist feud with black athletes, and he’s decided to double down on it. Pence pulled a stunt today which wasted taxpayer money and inconvenienced seventy thousand fans, apparently just so he could post an ignorant tweet afterward. He was back home in Indiana and attended an Indianapolis Colts NFL football game. It took him all of a few minutes to make an ass of himself.
Shortly after kickoff, Mike Pence tweeted the following: “I left today’s Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.” That’s right, he went to all the trouble of attending an NFL game, where he knew some players would kneel during the anthem, just so he could immediately leave. In so doing, Pence was staging a protest in relation to the national anthem – and by his own logic, it could be argued that he “disrespected the flag.” But it gets worse.
It’s not yet clear if Pence was charged admission to the game, or who may have paid for it. But what is clear is that Pence ran up the taxpayer cost of his own security detail, just so he could purposely waste that money on nothing. In addition, every fan who attended the game was put through additional screening measures due to the Vice President’s presence, inconveniencing them all in the process, just so Pence could throw a staged tantrum by storming out of the game right after it began.
Earlier today, Republican Senator Bob Corker tweeted that Donald Trump’s presence in the White House has turned it into an “adult day care center.” However, based on Mike Pence’s infantile, wasteful, and unpatriotic tantrum today, it’s clear Trump isn’t the only toddler in the White House. Mike Pence should immediately resign.
