Donald Trump is now an invalid and his staff can no longer hide it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

For the entirety of his existence, Donald Trump has been a malignant narcissist or a sociopath, depending on which medical professional you want to ask. During the course of the campaign, he also began gradually morphing into different territory: mental incompetence. His words and behavior increasingly stopped making sense, even by his own existing standards, as the campaign went on. It’s only gotten worse, and accelerated, since he’s entered office. It’s no longer a stretch to classify him as an invalid.

That’s not something I say lightly. And I’m not a medical professional, but it’s become that obvious. We’re left looking at the sobering fact that the guy occupying the office of President of the United States no longer seems to ever know where he’s at, what he’s saying, or what he’s doing. As I’ve previously documented, Donald Trump hasn’t been writing his own tweets for a month. Even when it comes to the rants that are supposed to sound like him, it’s not difficult to point to a word here, a spelling there, which proves that his staff has been ghost-tweeting for him.

And it’s not merely a precaution against Trump saying something politically damaging by being his usual deranged self. Considering that Trump hasn’t managed to get his hands on his own phone in a month, it’s a given that he’s stopped trying. He’s now in that kind of decline. And when we do periodically get a glimpse of him in public, we understand why his staff tries to shield him from the public these days.

Today, Donald Trump made a rare public appearance and used it to encourage law enforcement officers to physically injure cooperative suspects while arresting them. During Trump’s last speech, he told a story about chopping up young women with knives. Before that, he told the story of a friend’s exploits on a yacht to a group of kids. Whenever we see Trump not behind a podium, he’s usually wandering off, blank faced, with no idea where he is.

It’s dangerous enough that a man as deranged as Donald Trump is in the Oval Office. It’s arguably even more dangerous that Trump has now dissolved into straight up incompetence, unable to write his own tweets, clueless about what he’s saying or whom he’s talking to when he surfaces in public. His staff is doing the best it can when it comes to covering up his rapid decline, but it’s not enough; the cracks are becoming rifts. And before long, the entire nation will figure out what’s been obvious for awhile to those who closely follow politics: Donald Trump has become an invalid.
