Looks like Donald Trump’s “covfefe” tweet was just a humanizing stunt by his handlers

Last night Donald Trump wanted to launch into an angry Twitter tirade about the media, but only got a few words into it before mangling “coverage” into “covfefe” – and rather than deleting the tweet or continuing with his angry rant, he simply went to bed. Then today he woke up with an entirely new personality which allowed him to make fun of his “covfefe” moment, before going on to show off an entirely new range of vocabulary. And if you believe any of the above, I’ve got a Trump University degree to sell you.

As much fun as we all had making fun of Donald Trump for his covfefe moment last night, it looks we were being played. Trump woke up this morning and tweeted “Who can figure out the true meaning of ‘covfefe’ ??? Enjoy!” (link). Except no he didn’t, because Trump isn’t capable of that kind of self deprecation. He wouldn’t understand the concept even if he were trying to pull it off.

And if this morning’s covfefe joke was tweeted by his handlers, then it stands to reason that last night’s covfefe typo was nothing more than an intentional setup for this morning’s humanizing moment. If you think that might be a reach based on a single tweet, take a look at what he tweeted immediately afterward: “So now it is reported that the Democrats, who have excoriated Carter Page about Russia, don’t want him to testify. He blows away their case against him & now wants to clear his name by showing ‘the false or misleading testimony by James Comey, John Brennan…’ Witch Hunt!” Sorry, but Donald Trump doesn’t know words like “excoriated.” Even if someone told him to use it, he wouldn’t be able to figure out how to spell it. So he didn’t write that tweet.

Nor did he write the one about Barron Trump being scarred by the Kathy Griffin imagery, because Trump doesn’t think in those terms; this was a calculated sympathy play by someone with a mind for public relations. And he sure as heck didn’t write something as sophisticated and diplomatic as “Hopefully Republican Senators, good people all, can quickly get together and pass a new (repeal & replace) HEALTHCARE bill. Add saved $’s.” (link). One of Trump’s handlers has been trying to imitate a more congenial version of him all day today. And that points to last night’s “covfefe” having been manufactured by his handlers as well.
