Sean Spicer’s latest bizarre Twitter fail: “Pot”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The big breaking news tonight was that, as expected, a federal judge blocked Donald Trump’s revised Muslim travel ban before it could go into effect. Naturally, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was asked for immediate comment. This quickly turned into what might be Stammering Spice’s most bizarre Twitter fail to date – and it came in the form of one word.

Fox News reporter Fin Gomez asked Sean Spicer for comment on the latest defeat for Trump’s Muslim ban. Spicer generically told him it was too early for comment, which Gomez then relayed via Twitter. For reasons known only to him, Spicer then quoted Gomez’s tweet, and added precisely one word. This Twitter fail made the land speed record for being deleted, but here’s a screen capture of it:

Wait, what? Sean Spicer literally just tweeted a single word, and it was “Pot.” Is he on drugs? Is he asking for drugs? Is this a secret code? Has he simply given up? Worse, he turned it into a username, and it turns out the @Pot account on Twitter is indeed some kind of marijuana culture account. Some have speculated that Spicer may have been attempting to type “@POTUS” – which is possible – but there’s no way to know for sure, because he never did replace his deleted tweet.

Meanwhile, this is the second major Twitter oops today for Sean Spicer. Earlier today he accidentally referenced a Twitter account that highlights vacation destinations. Does he want to get away for awhile? Contribute to Palmer Report
