Piss poor excuse: a year ago, Donald Trump contradicted his own Russian prostitute denial

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

If you’re tired of hearing about Donald Trump’s alleged fetish fueled antics with Russian prostitutes, so are we. But because he keeps making it a bigger story by saying stupid and dishonest things about it, the whole pisser of a story isn’t going away any time soon. Trump exploded in a Twitter rage about it last night, calling it “fake news” even though it was credible enough for the FBI and CIA to have included it in an intel briefing. And during his press conference today, he made a point of offering a specific denial which was not only absurd, it’s something which he specifically contradicted in an interview a year ago.

Trump has been accused of being involved with Russian prostitutes in a government-run Moscow hotel where his sexual escapades were videotaped by the Kremlin to be used as blackmail material. More specifically, he’s accused of engaging in “golden showers” with these prostitutes, which involves people urinating on each other. Trump insisted today during his press conference that he couldn’t possibly have been involved in such acts, because he’s “very much a germaphobe.” That explanation might be plausible if Trump hadn’t already contradicted it himself in a previous interview.

Back in late 2015, Donald Trump did an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in which one of the questions started off with “It’s said you are a germophobe.” Trump shot that down, insisting that “I’m not germophobic.” He then went on to brag about how many thousands of germs hands he’s shaken on the campaign trail, in order to make the case that he’s not a germaphobe. But now that he needs a way out of a scandal, he’s “very much a germaphobe.” He was either lying then or he’s lying now.
