Paul Ryan just further outed himself as being a puppet of Russia and Donald Trump
There has been popular debate for some time as to whether Paul Ryan has been propping up Donald Trump these past months because Ryan is a coward, or because Ryan is a traitor who’s taking his marching orders from the Kremlin. The latter became more believable when Ryan was caught having hushed Kevin McCarthy and having sworn the room to silence, after McCarthy accused Trump of being on Russia’s payroll. But now Ryan has done something even more distressing.
After Democratic Congresswoman Barbara Lee introduced an amendment to strip Donald Trump of his AUMF war powers, it made it through the committee with a bipartisan vote. It was a stunning development: Democrats and some Republicans had come together to prevent Trump from being able to unilaterally wage war, for fear he might use the power to do Vladimir Putin’s bidding. But then Paul Ryan single handedly decided he couldn’t allow it to happen.
According to Barbara Lee, “Ryan stripped my 01 AUMF repeal amdt from DOD Approps in the dead of night. This is underhanded & undemocratic. The people deserve a debate!” (link). This means that Paul Ryan was so desperate to keep Donald Trump’s war powers intact, he wasn’t even willing to allow the amendment to come before the full House. Ryan must have feared that enough Republicans would vote for it, and that it would pass. And there is only one logical explanation for why Ryan would do this behind the back of not only the Democrats, but also the Republicans.
Paul Ryan is clearly a puppet of Russia and Donald Trump. The only part that isn’t yet known is why. Is the Kremlin truly blackmailing Ryan, as has long been alleged but has never been demonstrated? Or is there something else going on that we don’t know about? Ryan needs to come clean about why he’s acting as a Russian puppet, or he needs to resign.
