Donald Trump complains about cost of Paris Accord while he’s on yet another taxpayer funded golf trip

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Even as anti-Trump protests once again erupted in cities across America today, and Donald Trump’s own staff tried to counter with what ended up being a very small pro-Trump rally outside the White House, Trump himself was nowhere to be found. He took off for his own golf resort in Virginia, which by our count is already his sixteenth taxpayer funded golf trip since he took office. But that didn’t stop him from ranting on Twitter in unintentionally ironic fashion.

Still stinging from the largely negative response he received to his withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord this week, Trump took a few seconds out of his golf vacation to hit up Twitter. Apparently unable to come up with any thoughts of his own, he simply retweeted a @WhiteHouse tweet which made the wildly misleading claim that “The Paris Accord created a U.N. slush fund” – along with an animated graphic bashing President Obama:

And so, apparently without even realizing it, Donald Trump tried to inaccurately bash President Obama for wasting taxpayer money while he himself was in the midst of a golf trip that was in fact wasting taxpayer money.

Yet despite these kinds of antics, Donald Trump can’t seem to figure out why mainstream Americans are still taking to the streets to protest against him. Follow Palmer Report on Facebook and Twitter. If you’re a regular reader, feel free to support Palmer Report
