Keystone Komrades: Trump and Putin can’t keep their lies straight about whether they’ve met

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $785 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

No one with a strong spidey sense has ever viewed Donald Trump or Vladimir Putin as being particularly honest men. In fact PolitiFact only rated four percent of Trump’s statements during the campaign as being fully true, and Putin is an ex-KGB spy who lies for a living. But what’s remarkable is that they can’t seem to coordinate their lies when it comes to things such as whether or not they’ve met each other.

Here’s Vladimir Putin’s quote from today: “I don’t know Mr. Trump. I have never met him.” source: National Review

And here’s Donald Trump’s quote from 2015 on whether he’s met Putin: “Yes, a long time ago. We got along great, by the way.” source: audio tape of Trump on radio interview

It’s almost as if these two Keystone Komrades know the gig is up and aren’t even trying anymore.
