Jill Stein has berserk meltdown after it’s revealed Russia was buying Facebook ads for her during election
Despite holding some leftist positions, Jill Stein has proven herself to be no friend of the American left. Based on a series of increasingly suspicious revelations regarding her and the Russian government, it turns out she may be no friend of America, period. After today’s latest news, Stein went on a berserk and almost Trump-ian meltdown, making her look even more guilty.
The news broke today that Russia went far beyond merely buying Facebook ads aimed at promoting Donald Trump or demonizing Hillary Clinton. Russia in fact bought ads aimed at promoting Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein, in an apparent attempt at siphoning off liberal votes from Clinton, according to a Politico report (link). Sanders had no public response to the news, and there’s no evidence whatsoever that he was working with Russia during election, or that he even knew about the ads. Stein had a very different reaction.
Jill Stein posted a series of increasingly hyperbolic and dishonest tweets: “Clintonites now trying to convince themselves that a corny Facebook ad is the reason their candidate with a 30% approval rating lost. Wait, so the “democratic” party has been attacking Greens for years… because we inspire non-voters to vote? Dems still trying to blame everyone else for Trump, when the whole world knows DNC got their media cronies to help Trump & sabotage Sanders. Once the ruling elite have lost all credibility, all they can do is censor their critics and smear them as traitors. Why are we under constant attack by the political establishment, the media and Hollywood? Because the elites feel threatened. Keep it up!”
Wait a minute here. Not only does Jill Stein’s rant sound like the kind of unhinged nonsense Donald Trump might tweet, it also touches squarely on the key conservative tactics of attacking the “elites” and “Hollywood.” This further underscores what many of us have long suspected: Stein is a conservative who pretends to hold certain leftist positions as an excuse to enter the race on the far left and take enough votes away from mainstream liberal candidates so as to hand power to the conservatives.
In any case, Jill Stein continues to make herself look more guilty each time she opens her mouth. She had dinner with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump adviser Michael Flynn in Moscow during the election, which she’s never been willing to explain. Now it turns out Russia was buying Facebook ads that promoted her campaign. There is no proof that she knew about these ad buys at the time – but her meltdown sure does make it sound like she has something to hide.
