Irony alert: Donald Trump is going down in flames because of email
Donald Trump spent the entire 2016 election cycle consistently lying about Hillary Clinton’s emails in an attempt at falsely portraying her as some kind of criminal. Of course the media went along with the phony scandal because it was great for ratings, and even once Hillary was officially cleared of any wrongdoing, it didn’t seem to matter. But in the greatest of ironies, Donald Trump is now going down in flames because of – wait for it – email.
For the past three days Donald Trump Jr. has been the linchpin in his father’s Russia treason scandal, and yes, we can now officially call it treason. Junior secretly met with a Kremlin representative during the campaign and discussed sabotaging Hillary Clinton to influence the outcome of the election. Once he was caught he first claimed that the meeting was actually about adoption of all things. Then he later admitted that he did discuss dirt on Hillary during the meeting, but that he didn’t know in advance that he was meeting with a Kremlin representative. Then, today, came the email.
It turns out the go-between emailed Donald Trump Jr. beforehand and informed him that the meeting was in fact part of the Russian government’s plot to influence the outcome of the election, according to the New York Times (link). So now Junior no longer has any deniability. He knew what he was getting into. He knowingly committed treason.
Now all that’s left to do is to prove that Donald Trump knew about his son’s meeting at the time. As Palmer Report reported earlier this evening, he gave a speech in that same timeframe in which he bragged that he was about to have dirt on Hillary Clinton (link). So he no doubt knew. And once it’s proven, he’s finished. His approval rating will plunge so far that even the Republican Congress will have to look at impeachment to try to avoid getting wiped out in the midterms. If they don’t, the Democrats will impeach him after the midterms. And that’ll be before getting to the part where he’s tried and imprisoned.
And so, after Donald Trump got himself into office partly by lying so pathologically about Hillary Clinton’s email, and partly by treasonously conspiring with the Russian government to rig the election, he’s going down in flames because of an email spelling out that treason.
