Donald Trump tweets insult at Kim Jong Un, but it ends up being the perfect description of himself

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Over the past few days, the debate has continued as to whether Donald Trump’s increasingly insane tweets are an attempt at distracting from his Russia scandal, or a sign that he’s gone full blown psychopath. But even as that debate continues, and the consequences of having a mentally incompetent person in the Oval Office are very real, one tweet from Trump in particular tonight is causing him to be widely mocked – because he accidentally described himself.

Late on Monday night, after North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un fired off yet another failed missile test, Donald Trump decided that the best response was to hurl garbage at him on Twitter. Trump tweeted “Does this guy have anything better to do with his life?” Trump was intending to refer to Kim’s ongoing failed pipe dream of building a working missile system. But instead the internet decided that it was instead a perfectly apt description of Trump’s own behavior.

When the “President” of the United States is so addicted to trash talk that he uses Twitter to toxically respond to an international incident, and for that matter when he spends the night before the Fourth of July tweeting garbage in general, it’s fair to ask why Trump doesn’t have anything better to do with his life. Trump is, at least until he’s constitutionally ousted, the most powerful man in the world. He also has the greatest responsibility of anyone in the world. And yet instead, this is how he spends his time.

So even as we continue to keep our ear to the ground for the major Trump-Russia collusion bombshell that Trump himself seems to be trying to distract from in such nervously unhinged fashion, a new anti-Trump phrase may have entered the lexicon. “Does this guy have anything better to do with his life?” Apparently not.
