Illiterate Donald Trump says he’s “honered” to be president, deletes it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We have it set up so we get an immediate text message alert whenever Donald Trump posts anything to Twitter. It’s not that we’re looking forward to his screeds. It’s just that if he announces something that’s likely to lead to the immediate end of the world, we want to have time to prepare. And so today we got a pair or alerts from @realdonaldtrump twelve minutes apart, which read like one of those side by side pictures where you’re supposed to spot the difference:

Is Trump illiterate?

That’s right, Trump tweeted that he was “honered” to be president. How is that even possible? Our autocorrect has been fighting us over “honered” for the past five minutes. And it took him a full twelve minutes to catch the error before deleting the original tweet and replacing it with the current one, which spells it “honored.”
