Human trash can Kellyanne Conway blames Americans for believing Donald Trump’s words

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When politicians like Donald Trump say embarrassing and/or untruthful things on a daily basis, and they’re unwilling to face the media themselves, they tend to blow through public relations flacks at a rather exhausting pace. At some point the person tasked with explaining away that politician’s bullshit gets tripped up one too many times and gets laughed off the stage. And it appears human trash can Kellyanne Conway’s time in the role of publicly covering for Trump may be nearing its end already.

The first shoe dropped when Meet The Press cut her ten minute interview down to just one minute during yesterday’s episode. Those who have watched the full interview online can see why most of it never made it to air: she keep dodging questions and spinning lies in order to explain away Donald Trump’s behavior on a fashion that’s become too repetitive and predictable to garner airtime. And her appearance on CNN, in which she tried and miserably failed to explain away Trump’s mocking of a disabled reporter, could bring it all crashing down.

After CNN host Chris Cuomo pushed back against Kellyanne Conway’s insistence that Donald Trump never actually mocked the reporter, she insisted that everyone should just believe Trump instead. But she talked herself into such a corner that she ended up saying “You always want to go by what’s come out of his mouth rather than look at what’s in his heart.”

In other words, she actually tried to make the case that Americans shouldn’t believe what Donald Trump says, but instead they should believe him when he insists that he never said what they’ve directly heard him say. This is why Trump had to stop sending Katrina Pierson on-air to clean up his messes, because she eventually began talking herself into embarrassing circles and became a national punchline. And now Kellyanne Conway appears to have lost her ability to lie smartly on Trump’s behalf as well.
