Hillary Clinton provided more leadership in one tweet than Donald Trump did during entire London crisis

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump’s response to the London terror attack has been so insufficient and inappropriate, even by his already basement-low standards, that it’s given mainstream Americans a taste of poorly Trump will perform if and when the United States faces a crisis of its own. Even as the criticism continued to pour in, Hillary Clinton stepped up and provided more leadership with one tweet than Trump did during the entire weekend.

Trump began his debacle when he retweeted an unsubstantiated rumor from propaganda site Drudge Report while the attack was still unfolding. Then he started cheerleading for his racist Muslim ban (link). Then he made up a fake quote from the Mayor of London and proceeded to attack him for it (link), in a rather thinly veiled attempt at highlighting the fact that London’s Mayor is Muslim.

This prompted so much backlash that one CNN reporter called Trump a “piece of shit” while another asserted that this proves he’s not presidential (link). But even as the backlash against Trump poured in, Hillary Clinton stepped up and posted this:

So now we’re in a situation where Hillary Clinton is the rightfully elected President of the United States but she’s not allowed to take office, yet she’s earnestly trying to do the job anyway, because the guy who cheated to win the election is refusing to do the job. If the election were held today, it’s highly likely the majority of people would vote for Hillary. Then again, the majority of people did vote for Hillary in November.
