Hey Donald Trump, about those Trump-Russia collusion “tapes” you suddenly claim don’t exist…
Hey Donald Trump, we’ve got to talk. We think you’ve been reading Palmer Report for months, because we’re one of the very few outlets to have been reporting all along on inside sourcing that says tapes exist of collusion between your campaign and Russia. The major news outlets haven’t bothered to report on it, well, because they’re usually slow on those things. So why on earth are you suddenly choosing now to specifically refute that such tapes exist?
Here it is, Donald, right here in your own tweet storm from yesterday morning: “The real story is that President Obama did NOTHING after being informed in August about Russian meddling. With 4 months looking at Russia under a magnifying glass, they have zero “tapes” of T people colluding. There is no collusion & no obstruction. I should be given apology!” (link). But here’s the thing, Donald. No one ever takes an accusation that specific that’s not even in the mainstream media and preemptively denies it, unless they think it’s about to hit the mainstream media.
So, Donald, you just gave away that A) some kind of recordings do exist of your campaign colluding with the Russian government to rig the election, and B) you’ve been given specific reason to worry that these recordings will surface soon. It’s clear you’re trying to get out ahead of it in advance, by being the one to thrust the “tapes” conversation into the mainstream media before the story surfaces on its own. That way you can muddy the waters a bit before it hits the wires.
And by the way, Donald Trump, thanks for essentially confirming our months of reporting on the inside sources that have claimed these Trump-Russia collusion tapes exist.
