Lindsey Graham just punched his ticket to Hell

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We still don’t know why Senator Lindsey Graham has made a sudden and dramatic heel turn from righteous Trump critic to slobbering Trump apologist. Is he being blackmailed? Is he caught up in the Trump-Russia criminal conspiracy? In any case, his cartoonish transformation has taken a stunningly dark turn today, as he began attacking the latest woman to come forward about Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee.

Lindsey Graham has decided that it’s entirely Julie Swetnick’s fault that she attended parties where Brett Kavanaugh and his buddies were allegedly conspiring to drug women without their knowledge and then lining up to gang rape them. No, really. Here’s what Graham tweeted about it: “From my view, just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, it just did. The lawyer to porn stars has just taken this debacle to an even lower level. I hope people will be highly suspicious of this allegation presented by Michael Avenatti.”

What the hell is wrong with this guy? But in case there was any lingering doubt that Lindsey Graham is blaming Swetnick for Kavanaugh’s actions, he added this: “Why would any reasonable person continue to hang around people like this? Why would any person continue to put their friends and themselves in danger?” This isn’t just sick on Graham’s part; it’s psychotic.

Lindsey Graham has already decided, politically speaking, he’d rather go down with the Trump ship than simply come clean about what’s prompted him to transform overnight into a different person with a different character and a different set of beliefs. Graham was already set to be remembered as one of the most corrupt villains of his era. Now he’s punched his ticket to Hell. It’s one thing to give in to a blackmailer. It’s another to become that blackmailer’s most psychotic, evil, gleefully deranged henchman. Graham is on the verge of committing felony obstruction of justice. Perhaps we should start asking if he’s going to end up in prison, alongside Trump and Kavanaugh.
