Donald Trump’s day from hell

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump started the day seemingly thinking he was on top of the world, as evidenced by the scene of him arrogantly shoving the Prime Minister of Montenegro out of the way during a NATO summit photo op, and then preening about having done so (link). But by the time the day was over, it turned out to be the day from hell for Trump. Here are the things that went horribly wrong for him:

After Donald Trump publicly attacked the other members of NATO during the summit today, someone leaked the fact that he had referred to Germany as “very evil” behind the back of German Chancellor Angela Merkel – which Palmer Report reported here.

Then came word that the European intel community is planning to retaliate against Trump for his attack on NATO by releasing fresh dirt on him – which Palmer Report reported here.

Heading into the evening, it was revealed that the FBI is now going after Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner in the Russia investigation, causing numerous problems for Trump and his White House and his family, and calling further into question whether he can survive this scandal – which NBC News reported here.

This comes even after Donald Trump’s latest choice for new FBI Director, Joe Lieberman, took his name out of the running – which Palmer Report reported here.

Along the way there was the assertion from a credible source that former Trump adviser Michael Flynn is working with the U.S. Attorney’s office and is in the process of ripping on Donald Trump – which Palmer Report reported here.

And finally, a Republican political operative in Florida admitted that he worked with Russian hacker Guccifer 2.0 to try to influence the 2016 election, and that he brought Donald Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone into the mix with Guccifer as well – which we reported here.

All of the above adds up to yet another no good, very bad, horrible day for Trump. But it’s the news about the FBI going after Kushner, which brings the Russia scandal directly into Trump’s White House and Trump’s family, which truly makes this a day from hell for Donald Trump.
