Donald Trump gives away that a major Trump-Russia bombshell is about to land

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The best way to figure out what people are trying to hide from you is to take a look at what they’re trying to distract you from. Donald Trump is often particularly easy to read, because he telegraphs his attempted distractions in such blatant fashion. This morning, Trump bombastically and unwittingly gave away that he knows a major Trump-Russia bombshell is about to land.

News outlets tend to ask Trump’s White House for advance comment just before publishing such stories, meaning that Trump usually knows when these stories are about to surface. He has a consistent habit of trying to generate controversy on Twitter in order to distract from major impending news about his Russia scandal. This morning Trump went on arguably his most deranged Twitter bender to date, and in so doing, he telegraphed what he knows is coming.

Trump spent the morning retweeting a video of himself violently assaulting his former opponent Hillary Clinton, hurling insults like “Rocket Man” at Kim Jong Un, taking personal credit for the financial growth of Twitter as a platform, insulting all Americans who don’t support him, and even retweeting his own old tweets calling terrorists “losers.” While he clearly enjoys this kind of idiotic and inappropriate behavior in general, he tends to save his biggest Twitter meltdowns for when he’s hoping to create headlines that might distract the public from the real story.

In some instances Donald Trump has unwittingly spelled out exactly what the imminent bombshell was going to be, for instance declaring himself innocent of “colluding” with Russia, just before the report surfaced confirming that his campaign was guilty of colluding with Russia. This time around Trump wasn’t quite so generous in giving away the specific plot of the upcoming bombshell. But the sheer size of Trump’s meltdown makes clear that it’ll be one of the biggest Trump-Russia bombshells to date.
