Donald Trump resorts to fire sale on the “Gold Cards” he can’t even get his suckers to buy anymore
Just how badly has Donald Trump’s popularity and momentum collapsed in the midst of his exploding scandals and his non existent accomplishments in office? Even the financial scams he’s been running on the biggest suckers among his base aren’t working anymore. Trump has been selling symbolic “Gold Cards” for several months which serve no purpose other than to identify the buyer as a Trump supporter. But now, apparently unable to move them at any price, he’s almost literally giving them away.
Last year Donald Trump was selling his Gold Cards to supporters in exchange for what was originally listed as a $100 contribution, but was then marked down to $35. However, we received this from Trump’s mailing list today:
That’s right, Donald Trump has now discounted his Gold Cards, which were supposed to be a symbolic show of wealth and prestige, for a mere one dollar. That’s a 97% discount off the previous $35 price, meaning it officially qualifies as a fire sale.
So what are these Gold Cards good for at this point? Donald Trump seems to be trying to quickly dump them at just to get rid of them. But with it now being far from clear how much longer Trump might be able to survive in office before being impeached, these cards might end up making for an unintentionally ironic souvenir documenting the most catastrophically failed presidency in U.S. history.
