After he launched a weeklong tirade on Twitter that was so vulgarly unhinged and incoherent that it led to widespread calls for him to be removed from office via the 25th Amendment, Americans were left almost afraid to look at what fresh garbage Donald Trump might dredge up for the Fourth of July. But instead of another demented attack, Trump found a new way to ruin everyone’s Independence Day with an offensively divisive song.

Even as the majority of Americans were preparing to spend the Fourth of July renewing their resolve to get Donald Trump ousted from office, or hoping to forget about his grotesque existence for a day, Trump chimed in at 6:38 this morning with something new and awful. He posted a video of what looked like it was going to be a patriotic American song sung by a chorus in front of an American flag. Instead it turned out to be two-plus minutes of an religious extremists singing a “Make America Great Again” song.

That’s right, Donald Trump couldn’t even spend one day pretending he cares about America or the office he holds. He couldn’t post one measly video of the National Anthem or another patriotic and unifying American song. Instead he had to post divisive propaganda built around one of the most intentionally divisive (and overtly racist) political slogans in the history of the country.

This is, simply, who Donald Trump is. He doesn’t care about the well being of the country, and he’s so resentful of being trapped in the job, he’s now using his office almost solely to give mainstream Americans the middle finger each day. No president of either party has ever stooped so low as to try to use the Fourth of July to push divisive campaign propaganda instead of honoring America. It’s beyond time for this thug to resign. And if he thinks he’s making us forget about his treason with Russia, he’s even more delusional than we thought. If you’re a regular reader, feel free to support Palmer Report
