Donald Trump announced today that two-thirds of Americans are “stupid people”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

There were highs. There were lows. There were grammar and usage errors. There were those who think he was actually high. Welcome to Donald Trump’s Twitter Roller Coaster, Saturday Edition. As usual most of it was semi-literate and whiny crap. But here’s the key takeaway: Donald Trump announced that the majority of Americans are, in his words, “stupid people.” Oh, and they’re also “fools.”

According to the most recent poll we can find on the matter, which was conducted last month, 55% of Americans said they were strongly concerned about Russia’s role in the U.S. presidential election, while another 10% said they were somewhat bothered. That means 65% of Americans, or nearly two-thirds were not okay with Russia’s meddling. Considering the additional intel that’s been released since that time, it’s likely that number is much higher.

But don’t tell that to Donald Trump, who proudly announced today that “Having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. Only “stupid” people, or fools, would think that it is bad!” Yes, he put the word stupid in quotation marks for some reason. And then he went on to provide a synonym, fools, presumably in case the stupid people who read his tweet were too stupid to know what the word stupid meant. And yes, the picture above of Trump giving a speech in front of a wall of garbage is real.
