Now we have some context for why Anthony Scaramucci is in such deranged freefall

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Anthony Scaramucci is unraveling in such swift and chaotic fashion that the average American would probably walk to the other side of the street to avoid him. Considering that he now has primary influence over the man occupying the office of President of the United States, it makes Scaramucci arguably the most dangerously deranged man in the world. That makes it crucial for Americans to understand what’s truly going wrong with him – and now we have some striking context from his personal life.

According to a pair of reports from the Page Six division of the New York Post, Anthony Scaramucci’s wife demanded a divorce three weeks ago, while she was nine months pregnant (link). She gave birth five days ago, and Scaramucci supposedly still hasn’t gotten around to seeing his son. As with any failed marriage, she has her version, he has his, and the real story is probably somewhere in between. But regardless of the precise details of how this is all falling apart, it helps explain why he’s been acting like such a dangerously unhinged live wire. And this would all be no one’s business if he didn’t currently have de facto control of the Oval Office.

Scaramucci isn’t confirming or denying any of the specific claims being made by Page Six, but does seem to be acknowledging that his personal life is in an untenable place. Last night he tweeted “Leave civilians out of this. I can take the hits, but I would ask that you would put my family in your thoughts and prayers & nothing more.” This afternoon he added “Family does not need to be drawn into this. Soon we will learn who in the media has class and who doesn’t. No further comments on this.”

Here’s the trouble with that rationale: Anthony Scaramucci has just spent the past week acting in shockingly demented fashion while in the White House. From the threats he made against Reince Priebus, to the things he said about Steve Bannon, he’s acted with nothing resembling class. And now, as the nation attempts to figure out precisely what’s wrong with this unhinged individual who has suddenly seized control over the presidency, Scaramucci is not in a position to lecture anyone about having class. Instead he needs to immediately resign and seek professional help to get him through the collapse of his personal life, before his current freefall ends up permanently destroying his life.
