Donald Trump goes berserk and blames several past U.S. Presidents for his worst week ever
Donald Trump is having his worst week ever. In fact he’s having one of the worst weeks in the history of the United States presidency. In the past week he’s failed to properly respond to the Puerto Rico crisis. His Senate candidate in Alabama lost. His health care bill failed. His NFL gambit backfired. His cabinet member resigned in disgrace. His presidency, which was never particularly put together to begin with, is completely coming apart. So how’s he dealing with it? He’s blaming several past U.S. Presidents for yet another one of his own failures.
After Trump posted eighteen embarrassing tweets about Puerto Rico on Saturday and three more on Sunday morning, he moved on to different favorite task: provoking unstable North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un. Trump tweeted “I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man. Save your energy Rex, we’ll do what has to be done!” This was a stunning sabotage of his own Secretary of State’s efforts – but he was just getting started.
Four hours later Trump circled back and added “Being nice to Rocket Man hasn’t worked in 25 years, why would it work now? Clinton failed, Bush failed, and Obama failed. I won’t fail.” At this point he seemed to be attacking and/or blaming his three predecessors for his own failures in North Korea. While the three of them never did manage to solve the North Korean issue permanently, they were at least better than Trump, who has made it far worse. Trump also gave away another embarrassing detail in the process.
Donald Trump blamed three past presidents for Kim Jong-Un, even thought Kim didn’t rise to power until 2010. Clinton and Bush were dealing with a different leader, Kim Jong-Il. Trump does not appear to know they’re two different people.
