‪Donald Trump’s press conference disaster: dodges Russia, insults reporters, threatens to eject them‬

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Donald Trump finally held a press conference today after several months of dodging reporters, and suffice it to say that it didn’t go particularly well for him or anyone else involved. Trump suffered from unfortunate timing, with details having leaked out last night of embarrassing alleged blackmail material being held on him by Russia. He went through with the scheduled media event anyway, but his defensive and combative attitude turned the whole thing into a disaster.

During the press conference, which was nationally televised live, Donald Trump dodged questions about Russia altogether, and decided to attack CNN for having broken the Russian blackmail story the night before. When CNN reporter Jim Acosta tried to ask a question, Trump made a point of insulting him, yelling things like “terrible” and “fake news” at the CNN newsman, before instead taking a question from actual fake news site Breitbart.

Acosta later revealed that when he asked Trump press secretary Sean Spicer if he would be allowed to ask a question, Spicer threatened to have him ejected on Trump’s behalf.

The rest of the press conference largely consisted of Donald Trump offering a convoluted plan for retaining ownership of his business interests but donating his overseas profits the the United States Treasury – which sounds a lot like a money laundering scheme allowing foreigners to bribe the U.S. government while he’s in charge of it.
