Last month Joe Biden publicly confirmed that Pete Buttigieg would end up having an unspecified role in his administration. This wasn’t surprising. Pete is highly qualified, and now that his time as Mayor of South Bend has ended, he’s available. Now Joe and Pete are cooking something up together.

If these were still normal times, we’d be seeing Joe Biden holding real world rallies with Pete Buttigieg and his other endorsers. These aren’t normal times, of course. The good news for Biden is that he’s ahead of Donald Trump nationwide and in every swing state, meaning he’s in a strong position to ramp up his campaign once it’s possible for campaigning to get back to something closer to normal.
